A full prop build of the T-60 Power Armor helmet from Fallout, printed in PLA across multiple parts and assembled before any finishing work. The raw print is just the starting point for a build like this. Most of the effort went into getting a paintable surface, which meant sanding through progressively finer grits, filling layer lines and seams with Bondo body filler, and laying down several rounds of filler primer before anything was ready for color.
The paint job used base coats, weathering washes, and dry brushing to land the worn, battle-used look from the game and the Amazon show. Sections of pipe were added as detail props to match the reference, and the visor was cut out and replaced with a tinted sunglass lens to give it proper depth while remaining wearable. The finished helmet holds up to close inspection and is fully wearable.
